We later saw <a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Regensburg\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Regensburg<\/a>, one of Germany\u2019s best-preserved medieval cities.<\/p>\n<figure style=\"width: 600px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/web.archive.org\/web\/20190518192218im_\/http:\/\/www.amsterdamtobudapest.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/06\/IMG_72211.jpg\" alt=\"abbey\" width=\"600\" height=\"450\" \/><figcaption class=\"wp-caption-text\">Weltenburg Abbey<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p>06:00 &#8211; The ship arrived in Kelheim while we were getting up.<\/p>\n<p>08:30 &#8211; Bus trip to Weltenburg Abbey for beer tasting. The church is extremely beautiful. The beer is fine, but the pretzels were coated with lots of salt and were not memorable. We were returned to the ship for lunch, which was now in Regensburg. There was steady rain, which was great news for the river navigation but unsuitable for sightseeing.<\/p>\n<p>15:30 &#8211; On our 1-hour guided walking tour, we saw one of the oldest bridges crossing the Danube and the city\u2019s architectural highlights, including the Old Town Hall.
