30 June<\/h2>\n

Cobblestone streets and graceful arcades welcomed us in the beautiful city of Passau<\/a>, but we opted for the tour to Salzburg in Austria. Others took the optional trip to Cesky Krumlov in the Czech Republic, while the rest took the walking tour of Passau, checked out the old town\u2019s narrow alleys, and saw the hilltop Oberhaus Fortress from the town below.<\/p>\n

They visited St. Stephen\u2019s Cathedral, a wonderful example of Baroque architecture and home to Europe\u2019s largest church organ with more than 17,000 pipes. Passau is the last stop in Germany.<\/p>\n

After lunch, the others enjoyed an afternoon cruising along the Danube River to Linz.<\/p>\n

8:00 – We took the optional day tour to Salzburg, the home of The Sound of Music and the birthplace of Mozart. It takes two hours to get there by bus from Passau and two hours to the ship, which moves on to Linz.<\/p>\n
