Australian SEO Forum rejects my application

by on 27 March 2009 · 5 comments

I recently discovered the Australian SEO forum and registered. They approve manually and today I received the following email:

Unfortunately your registration at Australian SEO Forum did not meet our membership requirements. Therefore your registration was deleted.

Sorry,
Australian SEO Forum

I don’t recall ever being rejected by any forum. Have you? Anyway, it seems that the forum is up for sale. If you buy it, please let me know and the new membership requirements, so that I may try to register once again.

Apologies Ned, you are most welcome to join, just let me know your username and or ip , your input would be valued, there was nothing personal in this or to any one else that was knocked back, the reason I stopped doing auto registrations was because the forum was put on many ” join forum for back links ” ( check the back links to see this ) lists , which meant 99 % spam posts, particularly from certain countries India, Philippines, China, Eastern Europe , so took the trouble to check Ip’s and sometimes usernames before allowing full post rights. Yours was most likely mistakenly removed. All the best .. Martin

The post about the sale has been removed. I fully understand the spam problem. I shut down two forums recently for that reason and I put one on manual approval.

Recently I was appointed as a moderator at Webmasterworld’s Local Search forum, so I will concentrate my SEO forum activity there.
